With the advent of smartphones, everyone’s evidently increasing their productivity, but not noticing the health issues coming along with it. As you can imagine, an issue from these little handsets is not just addiction, but more importantly, radiation. The range one keeps these gadgets to self could emit radio waves that are equally important for communication and to affect one’s health.
The Eye-opening Results!
As lab tested by the Federal Communications Commission, the authority has revealed that few models of popular smartphone makers as Apple and Samsung, have been emitting higher radiations than the limit set by federal authorities. The FCC’s authorized lab experimented on six different models (three each) of Apple and Samsung. These are iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone XR, iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S10. The test was conducted by checking their radiowaves emissions in various proximities ranging from 0-10 millilitres. The results were eye-opening as at a range of 2 millimetres, iPhone’s 8 and Galaxy S8 has levels twice than what authorities have prescribed. And at zero range, iPhones 8’s RF levels exceeded 500% and Galaxy S8’s by 300%.
